The working group waste resource management conducts research in the field of containing the release of plastic material as well as plastic recycling. In this area, the focus is set on the influences of impurities on recycled plastics, their degradation and the process diligence necessary to reuse the separately collected plastics.

The Institute for Environmental Engineering and Energy Management will provide R&D expertise for technical solutions on recycling and exploitation of plastics that have been exposed to a degradation through water and sunlight.
