Oldenburgisch-Ostfriesischer Wasserverband OOWV

OOWV is the freshwater supplier for the north-west of Niedersachsen and is responsible for disposal and treatment of wastewater. The domain of the association goes from the East Frisian Islands in the north to the district of Vechta in the south and from the estuary of Ems in the west to Weser in the east. In the operations of the wastewater treatment plants, first tests with a fourth treatment stage to eliminate organic pollutions and microplastic particles have been conducted in cooperation with the research partner AWI.

The network can use OOVW’s large network of wastewater treatment plants for tests and trials. This includes the installation of innovative processing technologies into existing wastewater treatment steps to verify the effectiveness of the new developments in practice.
